Segway Powersports lineup overview
Segway Snarler ATV or Fugleman side-by-side: which fits your riding?
Segway's Snarler AT6 quad and Fugleman UT6 side-by-side compared on the specs Segway Powersports Canada publishes: engine, seats, size, payload and towing, winch, cab options and warranty, plus how to decide between an ATV and a side-by-side.
The short version
- The Snarler AT6 is a straddle-seat ATV (quad). The Fugleman UT6 is a sit-in side-by-side with a roof, and the HV trim adds a heated cab.
- Power is close on paper: Segway Canada lists 44 HP and 48 Nm for the Snarler AT6 and 41 HP and 50 Nm for the Fugleman UT6.
- The Snarler AT6 S seats one and the AT6 L seats two. The L is 150 mm longer in the wheelbase and Segway lists a higher payload for it (270 kg vs 195 kg).
- Segway Canada lists 350 kg of towing for the Snarler AT6. It doesn't publish a towing or cargo rating for the Fugleman UT6.
- Warranty differs by line. Segway Canada advertises 5 years on its ATVs (24 months limited plus 36 months powertrain) and 2 years with no kilometre limit on the UT6.
Segway sells two very different machines in a similar power range: the Snarler AT6, a quad you straddle and steer with handlebars, and the Fugleman UT6, a side-by-side you sit in with a steering wheel and a roof. Here's how they compare on Segway Powersports Canada's own published specs, and how to tell which one suits the riding you actually do.
Disclosure: our dealerships sell Segway and AODES machines. Every figure below comes from Segway's spec pages, linked at the bottom. We leave prices out because they change, so check with the dealer.

Figures as listed on Segway Powersports Canada's Snarler AT6 and Fugleman UT6 pages on October 26, 2026. Segway's global Snarler page lists the engine as 570 cc and a higher rear rack rating (80 kg) than the Canadian page. Where they differ, we've used the Canadian figures, and you should confirm with the dealer for the exact unit.
Choose the Snarler (ATV) if...
- You ride narrow trails and cutlines. At 1,280 mm wide, the Snarler is 320 mm narrower than the Fugleman UT6 and much shorter.
- You mostly ride alone. The AT6 S is a one-seater. If you want to carry a passenger, Segway makes the AT6 L, with a second seat, a backrest and a longer wheelbase.
- You tow a small trailer or carry gear on racks. Segway Canada lists 350 kg of towing and front and rear racks for both AT6 models.
- You want to load it in a pickup box. Check your truck's box length against the Snarler's 2,200 to 2,350 mm overall length before you count on it.
Choose the Fugleman (side-by-side) if...
- You want a roof, doors and a steering wheel. Every UT6 trim has a roof, and the HV trim adds a heater, a glass windshield and full doors with sliding windows. That matters on a −20 morning.
- You haul more than fits on a rack. The Fugleman has a cargo box, though Segway Canada doesn't publish its size or rating. Ask for it in writing.
- You need a winch from day one. Every UT6 trim lists a 4,500 lb nylon winch as standard.
- You'll cover long distances. The UT6's 43 L tank is nearly twice the Snarler's 23 L.
What Segway doesn't publish
For the Fugleman UT6, Segway Canada doesn't list towing, cargo box capacity, payload, ground clearance or curb weight. For the Snarler, it doesn't list dry weight. If one of those numbers decides your purchase, get it from the dealer in writing for the exact model year and trim.
Before you ride either one
Both count as off-highway vehicles in Alberta, so registration and insurance rules apply to either one. Our guide to Alberta OHV rules before you ride covers the details, including helmets. Comparing work side-by-sides instead? See our Fugleman UT6 and UT10 vs AODES WorkCross 1000 comparison.
